Century Media pondrá a la venta este Lunes una nueva obra de los suecos Arch Enemy y que se trata de un recopilatorio, con la salvedad de que se compone sólo de temas de sus tres primeros discos (a excepción claro está de una intro totalmente nueva para la ocasión y tres canciones en directo como extras en la edición limitada). Lo interesante de esta propuesta es que serán todos cantados por Angela Gossow, pues recordemos todos que esos primeros trabajos fueron realizados por Johan Liiva como vocalista. Algunas líneas de bajo han sido también retocadas.

Esta subida se la quiero dedicar a Gelo (¡espero que te sirva!). A estas alturas supongo que ya todo el mundo sabrá que At The Gates fue una banda sueca de Death Metal, pionera del "sonido Gothenburg" o "Death Metal melódico sueco". Estuvieron activos desde 1990 a 1996, reformándose en el 2007, más concretamente en Octubre. Esta reunión fue seguida de varios recitales a mediados del 2008. Hoy en día el futuro de la banda es incierto y todos seguimos a la espera de lo que hagan.

A través de Avispa sale el nuevo CD de Saratoga, concretamente el día 5 de Octubre. Esta vez cuenta con la producción a cargo de Niko Del Hierro y Tony Hernando; la mezcla y masterización corren a cargo de Roland Grapow (Helloween, Masterplan). Por lo poco que he podido oir se nota una producción muy limpia y creo que no hay tantos agudos en el disco como en anteriores obras. De todas formas, debemos recordar todos que éstes ya no son los Saratoga de antaño, sino los nuevos Saratoga de Niko y que falta Jero para las composiciones, así que el cambio debería ser significativo.

Primer trabajo de esta magnífica banda sueca de Gothenburg. Su nombre proviene del latín y significa "noche dorada" lo cuál viene a simbolizar, más o menos según la propia banda, la oscura eternidad del caos y la libertad, las divinas visiones de la muerte... o algo así. Bien, el caso es que este CD es muy muy aconsejable, por lo menos a mí me ha gustado. Si os gustan grupos como Swallow The Sun, Draconian, etc. no lo dudéis.
